The 21st century brought massive changes to the global economy. Rapid technological advancements are leading mankind into a new era, where fintech becomes more and more integrated into our daily lives.
Throughout the world, from IBM and Wall Street in the US, to Alibaba, Tencent, and Huawei in China; international corporations have gotten onboard this train of change, and built their own blockchain strategies.
Since the beginning, blockchain has proven its potential to replace banks in core payment processes. This revelation led the financial institutions to become one the first industries to leverage blockchain. Gartner research found that in 2017, more than 80% of consulting services were concentrated in the financial services sector. By 2019, the financial services industry will still make up the highest volume.
In recent years, the potential of blockchain has become common knowledge among global enterprises. Not only have many giant corporations laid out the high-profile plans involving blockchain, the technology’s application has become mainstream discussion in the industry.
Even so, the adoption of concepts such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, and distributed ledger technology (DLT) is relatively low, and most people are still unfamiliar with blockchain.
With this insight, Chain 2020 launched a series of educational conferences on blockchain in Asia, aiming to become one of the industry’s main participants in the region, and even globally.
This blockchain conference was held on January 15, 2020 (Wednesday) at Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok Airport Expo Boulevard. Monspace is one of the partners behind this conference.
This massive blockchain conference gathered more than 10,000 participants and more than 30 speakers from around the world, making it the biggest ever educational blockchain conference in history. Attendants can attend round-the-clock keynotes and roundtable seminars on forward-looking topics such as blockchain, cryptocurrencies, finance, artificial intelligence, big data, and the future of technology.
This blockchain conference has three missions. First, to build a comprehensive set of resources in blockchain, thereby promoting the widespread adoption of new technologies in the region. Secondly, to become an attractive and influential platform, establishing networks and partnerships with long-term impact on the industry. Thirdly, to promote blockchain projects in Asia and support the large-scale adoption of the technology to serve business, science, and society.
“CHAIN 2020” hopes that through this conference, it will link up the blockchain community in Asia Pacific to the world, popularize blockchain, and bring more awareness to people about the huge prospects and utility of blockchain.
The main highlight of Chain 2020 has to be its ensemble of speakers!
